Admissions Process
The Director, the Diocesan Education Secretary, and his department are all in charge of overseeing the admissions process. The Director and the Diocesan Education Secretary receive recommendations for selection as well as the results of the entrance exams administered by the department. At the beginning of each academic year, the school conducts entrance examinations as part of a centralized process overseen by the Department of Education in the Anglican Diocese of Lake Malawi. The Diocesan Educational Secretary collaborates closely with the school's management and the Head of Admissions and Examinations to select students based on their performance, past reports, and recommendations from previous schools.

The admission process is conducted solely through entrance examinations (Once in an academic year) 2. Selection of students is strictly based on entrance examination results 3. Admission is based on examination results.
2025/2026 ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS RESULTS
The office of the Diocesan Education Secretary in the Anglican Diocese of Lake Malawi is pleased to release Bishop Mtekateka Secondary School (BIMTESS) entrance examination results for 2025/2026 school year as presented below. Out of 670 candidates who sat for form one examinations, 359 have been selected. Out of 103 candidates who sat for form 2 exams, 46 have been selected, and out of 198 and 167 candidates who sat for forms 3 and 4 exams, 72 and 34 candidates have been selected respectively.
